Default Controlling a Sony Receiver

I have a Sony STR DE 475 A/V receiver. I'd like to control the volume with
my TiVo remote. I've tried all the suggested codes but none work.
Any ideas anyone?

Gareth,

You may have to purchase a new remove from the TIVO store. Of course, your
Tivo will
not have the database to set up the TV, so unless you know someone who has a
new Tivo
with a new remote and you can look up the codes, you'll have to do it using
the code
search method. I think there's about 9 gazillion to go through. I did it
and I know it works,
but egads, it takes a long time. I almost missed it when it finally showed
up.

I have a SONY STR-DE695, and the only way I could get it to work with
my DVR was to switch the receiver to command mode AV2 (from AV1).

check out:

Not sure if it will work on a STR DE475, but it;'s worth a shot.

Good luck.
