Default Sky+ box says it ran out of disk space even though 50% is left!

Hi, hoping someone can help me...my SKY box is 50% full, and when I try
to record new shows, it stops and says the disk drive is full...I
imagine there's some sort of procedure I need to do to reformat or
refragment the drive in there - can I do this without erasing the shows
I already have??

How do I do the procedure?? Thanks..

You've set deletion to manual in your preferences. The box is complaining
that given all of the recordings you've set, the box will be full by the
time it's recorded everything. Set deletion to automatic and the problem
will disappear.

A planner rebuild should sort this out. See the FAQ and the service
menu.
You shouldn't need to perform a full reset, which would erase your
recordings.
