Default Looking for sky dish help locally

I wanted to hook up my spare box to my dish so I could watch free to air
channels in my room.
Apart from being funny with heights, I am not sure I have the confidence to
do this myself without knocking my dish out of alignment or screwing
something up.

I am looking for a competent person locally if they want to earn a bit of
spare cash to do this for me. Technically it should be a very quick job -
15 mins maybe and I am willing to pay up to £30 to have it done. I have a
ladder and tools and will get the cables, so its just a case of someone
being able to do it for me. There is even a hole already drilled in the
bedroom wall for another cable so it should be a **** easy job.

I would go to a local engineer but I think they are too pricey and I would
rather the cash go to someone who needs it.
If anyone is interested, I am in the High Wycombe area of South Bucks.

You can buy a simple gadget in any Argos store. It's called tvLINK.It's
simple to install, even a child could do it ;). It will cost about
£25-£30.
This will allow you to watch Sky channels in another room .
Hope this helps

snip

Do you want to do this whilst the original box is in use? If not, then
you can just run a piece of coax (pref Sat grade) from the RF1 or RF2
out on the existing digibox to your TV in your room and optionaly fit a
TV Link which will allow you to control the Digibox remotely.

If however you want the ability to watch different channels, then as
you suggest you need another box (and a replacement LNB with one or
more spare outputs if you haven't already got this)

If you are capable of doing a bit of DIY and have the necessary tools
and ladders, why not have a go yourself? If you get it wrong you can
always call the pro's in at that point.

If you were to loose the alignment slightly, it's not difficult to get
it back by looking at the signal stength and quality on the digibox via
a portable TV.
