sky card in another reciever

As I understand it's not possible to use a sky+ box's recording feature
without subscribing to sky+.

I am wondering if it's possible to use sky card in a regular sat
reciever with HD and use recording feature without sky+ subscription?

Sort of. Your "regular" receiver would need to have a slot for a
specific type of CAM and that CAM would have to contain a specific
version of firmware. Then the Sky card will work in it, though you
would have to put the card back into a proper Sky box from time to
time.

None of the functionality is in any way guaranteed.
