Default scrolling through free channels

Hello

Is there any way of scrolling trhrough the free channels only?
When I use "channel up" or "channel down", the box takes ages to tell
me what a great channel it is that I could subscribe to.

I am still getting used to the new channel numbering, and the arrival
of new channels.
In years (many) past, it used to be possible to simply remove the
viewing card and reboot the box. Then you would only get the free
channels.

Press Services, Favourites, then set all your favourites in there. You can
have 50 channels.

Than simply use the blue button to scrol through them.
Easy

Yes, but you have to add the free channels to your favourites

When you receive the new software update you can add many more than 50
channels to your favourites (I have added all the FTA/FTV channels that
I am ever likely to watch), then when you select TV guide you can press
the blue button to ONLY see the channels in your favourites.

You can tell if you have the update because on TV Guide green gives
planner and blue favourites.

Is this a further update? AFAIK the favourites only increased from 25
to 50 and that's where it's staying

My mistake then, it seems like more than 50 in the list I didn't count
them !

Did you realise you can use the up/down buttons rather than the
channel up/channel down buttons? This simply shows the current and
next programme on each channel, and is much quicker than actually
changing channels - once you find something you want to watch you then
press Select...

yes, I do that sometimes.

Trouble is, it doesn't tell me whether the channel is free or not.

Now I've programmed a lot more into the favourites (I hadn't realised
that the limit had been extended). Definitely an improvement. But this
way I won't become aware of new channels that may launch.
