Errrrm - oooops - doh!!! - twisted thinking at the end of a long day.

Just pass along, there's nothing to see - I'll just sit here in a heap.

I hate change when I have taken so long getting used to something in
the first place. It was a pain when they moved the mtv channels round
recently too.

Why can't Sky go back to the Astra 1a system and allow users to customise
the channel numbers

For some reason I always get a little bit of pleasure from seeing
channels I like rise up the list in a quasi-survival-of-the-fittest
kind of way :-)

From memory, E4 will have gone from 205 to 163 to 140, with FX moving
from 287 to 270 to 179...

I'm a bit confused about what's happened to the Paramount channels and
Sci-Fi though...?

I get no pleasure from seeing channels like Life TV being promoted far
higher than they deserve, though. (It and its cohorts are moving ABOVE
E4!). Or shopping and religious channels like YouTV and BEN somehow
breaking out of their shopping and religious sections, and gatecrashing
on the "mainstream" section (they are moving to 146&148)

From memory, E4 will have gone from 205 to 163 to 140, with FX moving
from 287 to 270 to 179...

ParCom, +1, 2, Sci-fi are moving from the range 127-130 all the way up
to 126-129.

Does this mean that the "blocks of three" are being done away with? We
currently have (if you read this in time):

106 Sky One, Two, Three
109 UKTV Gold, +1, 2
112 Living TV, +1, 2
115 BBC THREE, BBC FOUR, free
118 ITV2, ITV3, ITV4
121 Challenge, +1, free
124 Bravo, +1, free
127 Paramount, +1, 2
130 Sci-Fi, free, free

If channel providers are now seemingly no longer guaranteed three in a
row, why not have a wider-ranging revamp, and reunite UKTV Gold 2,
Living TV 2 etc. with their +1 version? Why leave 123 empty?
