Question Low signal quality

I've just had sky installed, disappointingly, I have found the pictures to be very colorful, in particular the reds are very bright, usually with faces looking pink and in most cases a red shadow or line can be seen along the left outline of faces and bodies. I noticed in "signal test" my signal quality is about 50% even though my signal strength is about 60%. I have asked my friends to check theirs which are much higher in both signal strength and quality.
I’ve contacted Sky, who asked me to first switch the box off and then reverse the scart leads, but this did not resolve anything and they have now arranged for an engineer to come on Saturday to hopefully remedy the problem.
Could re aligning or re positioning the receiver help and more importantly, what questions should I ask him?

Any help much appreciated.

This sounds like an RGB issue. Maybe your TV isn't working properly on
RGB.

Try turning RGB to PAL in the services/setup/picture settings menu.

This is acceptable but a little low. If you don't get picture breakup
in moderately bad weather then it is satisfactory.

Are you looping the RGB signal through another device? I got the same
symptoms when looping through an old DVD player. I think you're probably
losing the green signal.
