Default Moving House?

Hi

I was wondering if someone could advise what to do in this situation. I
originally had Sky installed in my room, with the account in my name. My
parents liked what they saw and wanted the same for their TV downstairs, so
we took out a multi-room subscription on the account, so they could have Sky
downstairs.

I'm now thinking of moving out into my own place, and want Sky there. So
what would I need to do in order to transfer services over to my new place,
but still ensure that my parents can retain Sky on their TV? Does my account
get transfered, and they can take a new account in their name or something
else? We're not yet beyond the initial 12 months, but might be by the time I
move out, if that makes any difference.

Many thanks

John R.

That's the correct way to do it and will cost you about £50.

A more crafty person might leave the existing account (your parents
can pay for it directly) after having cancelled the multiroom part and
just become a new subscriber in the new house, with a new box and
dish. This will cost nothing.
