Default Freeview aerial for indoors

Hi

Just moved to a new flat, and unfortunately it doesn't have any sort of
aerial. Are there any set-top Freeview aerials which are actually worth
their salt?

I was thinking of buying one from Argos to try it out. Does anyone have
any recommendations?

TIA

Pure post-code lottery spiced with luck.
One neighbour uses a set top aerial and gets a perfect picture, another
doesn't. Are you near a transmitter. Check to see whether your area is
'good' or 'bad' with http://www.dtg.org.uk/consumer/coverage.html good luck

Looks pretty good - apparently the Crystal Palace transmitter is 14km
away.

There's a Telecam from Argos that a lot of people seem to be talking
about. Might try that one?

Get your landlord to fit an aerial on the roof, or get it done yourself if
it is your flat.

To get the transmitter info, click on 'Tell me more' where it says you
can have Freeview.

Not my flat, and I've only just moved in so am not keen to start
whining already. Agree a proper aerial in the loft would be best - flat
doesn't even have a telephone socket (!) so I guess previous tenants
haven't cared/landlord has not been helpful.

Think I will try one from Argos, presume I can return it if it's no
good.

The good thing about Argos is, if you find it does not work, you can get a
refund. just be careful to not rip or tear the packaging, to ensure a
trouble free return. I tried an aerail booster from there, and just told
them "it does not work" Got my refund no probs.
