Default Another Sky box question

OK, further to my previous post of the 22nd, re my digibox being on the
blink, the problem is this:

Cahnnels seem to randomly break up, freeze, pixellate etc, or sometimes no
picture at at all, i.e. I get the message 'no satellite signal is being
recieved'.

This happens totally randomly across all channels. i could be watching a
pefect picture for 4 hours, then it starts breaking up.

To try and pinpoint the problem, I borrowed a friend's Digibox (Grundig,
not Pace), aand that one exhibits the same problems. I am therefore
assuming it is the LNB.

This started (coincidentally?) just into the cold snap before Christmas, so
I thought ice or water may have got into the LNB, as if it was mis-aligned,
there would be no picture at all, or it would be equally bad all the time.

I can get my mate's LNB to try my theory out bfore I buy a new one.

Does that make sense?

Thanks for any suggestions.

It sounds as though your LNB may be getting frequency drift. It is
probably past it.

It may be the dish alignment but, as you say, this is less likely.
