poor P2P stuff too. Even when you uninstall the software *apparently* the
P2P bit of it remains, thus using your bandwidth without your permission!

So what you are saying is that when you download a movie it dosn't come from
a Sky server but another user(s) library? as in traditional P2P?

KService (the "Delivery Manager" part of SbyB) on my system was listening on
port 8080 (when SkyByBroadband was not active) - this won't have done it a
lot of good as my firewall would have blocked all incoming connections to
this port!

It can do. Or at least parts of it can. Just like a traditional P2P. So
watch your bandwidth if you're on a crappy ISP that has caps on bandwidth.

Thanks for that info Brian, I've uninstalled the main program but unsure of
the other stuff.

Looks like a good look around my PC to find any unusual programs :-/

As a last resort guess I'll format my main drive and ensure I've got rid of
it totally.

I have removed SbyB as it hogged my system whilst downloading (my system was
fully up to spec and some..), which indecently was at very low speeds and
hence took ages. I have manually deleted the Kservice that was left behind.
I might try it again in a few months if reports say its improved - but until
then....No Thanks

How can I see if something else stay after I unistalled that crap?

See if it is running - look for "KService" "My Computer" right click
-Manage - Services and Applictions - Services

Delete service. Start - Run - type "sc delete KService" into box

Remove folder \Program Files\KService

I cannot delete the KService folder
