Hi,
I have a Thomson Sky digibox (not Sky+) and sometimes when I set my VCR to record from the box and set the box to switch to programmes automatically using Autoview, the programme will record but with no sound. I have checked my SCART leads are OK and that they are plugged into the correct sockets on the VCR and digibox. Sometimes autoview programmes tape with sound, sometimes without - any ideas what might cause this? I don't think it's just a VCR problem because when I have been in the house and seen this happen, even when I watch the digibox through the TV 'live', sometimes autoview seems to switch to the right programme but for some inexplicable reason drop all sound. Any ideas/suggestions? Marco |

Any ideas/suggestions? Marco My Panasonic box always changes channels OK if it is on in the first place, but won't always switch on from standby. Are you using it to switch on from standby? - if so I recommend trying leaving the set on on another channel and letting it switch. It doesn't make any difference about not leaving it in standby as all that does is mute the outputs: the box is still on. On the other hand if you _are_ leaving it on then you have a problem and may have to ring Sky. |

Thanks, I will try to see if it happens when I leave the box on - so
far I've always put the box on standby when using autoview. Marco. |

Auto-record won't work unless the digibox is in standby. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these.
