Default Sky Half Price?

My latest three month half price deal ends in a month, so I need to
cancel. However, usually when I ring they say 'have another two months
half price', but starting from the day I call. Is this going on at the
moment does anyone know?

And yes, i know I'll find out if I ring, but I want to know if it has
been offered to others just in case they say no

cheers
ed

I phoned up yesterday and got a two month extension @ 40%. The deal starts
*after* the current one ends.

Really? Have they fixed their computer billing system then? Last time I
did the extension they said it was impossible to do what you just got

Yopu might want to check that again Mick. Everytime I had a special and they
extended it, the extention was from the day of the phone call, so you
effectivly lose part of your current deal in favour of the new deal.

Whenever I`ve got an extension in the past they`ve (as you say) started it
from the day of the phone call, but yesterday she said something about
putting it `in her diary` and adding it to the end of the current offer. It
might also be something to do with the fact that the two offers are
different - the first being 50% and the second 40%.

Have you tried telling them you got a Freeview box for Christmas and
that you're not interested in Sky anymore unless you can have it for
£10 a month and seeing what they say?

Just make sure you check her "diary" is correct when the time gets nearer.

She did mention it would take me to April so I`m assuming she knew what she
was doing. I`ll be a bit cross if I`ve been diddled;-)

I imagine they'd say.
"But sir, you are subscribing to sky sports world, you cant get sky
sports on freeview"
me
"Damn, foiled again"

Well, you'd not be suggesting that you can, simply that you have enough
channels for free. Seriously, it's worth a try, but you have to call
their bluff.
