No. It's very straightforward - but I don't know whether you can fast
forward while you're doing it. However, for short extracts, that's not
a problem.

No, it's just like recording from a live broadcast: just press 'record'
then 'stop' in the same way you would if you were watching live.

Thanks. I wonder why there's nothing about that in the manual? Written
