Hello

I have a SKY2PC card that I'm not using, can I get sky tv if a connect it
to the RF signal of the sky box ?
And if so how can I do that?

TIA

I suspect that your card is a PCI sat tuner card. If so, you need to
connect the LNB feed to the LNB input on the card. You will not get
encrypted Sky channels, only the FTA ones.

What sort of connector does it have? That might give you a clue.

The handbook/whatever that came with it might also provide useful
information.

No, unless the card is a TV tuner card.

There are three types of card.

Sat cards take the dish output and convert it into picture and sound
inside the PC. No digibox required. Encrypted channels not normally
available, unless your PCI card accepts a CAM.

TV Tuner cards take the RF signal from a regular antenna or the RF
digibox output and convert it to picture and sound in the PC. Like a
TV.

Video capture cards take a video signal from a digibox or other device
with suitable outputs and convert it into picture in the PC. You also
need to do something about the sound.

That seems to be a TV tuner card, and if so the answer is yes.

For a few pounds you could also acquire a TVLink type device and use
it on the RF2 socket. This would allow you to change channels remotely
from the PC. See the FAQ.
