Default Sky+ Now Only £49

I ordered Sky+ Multiroom last Friday, my existing 7 year old Pace is
going in our bedroom and paid =A399.

I noticed on Monday that the price had dropped to =A349. I rang CS and
waiting for 40 minutes before being told that I couldn't have a =A350
refund - fair enough, I suppose. However, I was told that I could
cancel my current install, order again for the new price, but (and
here's the drawback), I would only be given a refurb Sky+ box and not
one of the new 40hr models I'm getting this week on the =A399 deal!

They'll say anything, won't they?!

Well thats fair enough, I wouldn't ask for a refund in a shop if they happen
to have a sale the following week :-)

Cheers for that, 12 minutes on hold, the young lady asked me where I had
seen the reduction,
http://existing.sky.com/offers.asp
refunded the card, cancelled the order, reinstated it at the new price,
and debited the card.

I got lucky and the install date didn't change. So ... thanks again.

Regards,
Francis.

I would if the product hadn't been delivered yet ... and indeed did. For
£50, one would have to be most unwise not to.

Francis.

Yeah as you say, fair enough. The bit that got me was when they said
that I'd only get a refurb old-style box if I went for the =A349 deal!

As you say, fair enough, I just thought the bit where they said if I
took the =A349 deal then I would only get a refurbbed box a bit
laughable, not to say untrue.

Is the £49 offer for a refurb anyway?
