Default Will E4 be on Freesat soon?

In my view the channel E4 is one of the best offerings on Freeview (I
am young). Do you think it is likely to be on Freesat soon?

E4 reception here is blocky. My parents are dead against putting a
large digital aerial on our 17th Century house (the current aerial is
in the loft and digital reception is poor). They will tolerate a
strategically placed dish, which would be the ideal solution if E4 is
due soon. If not I will have to wait.

No. Due to, what turned out to be, a misjudgement, Channel 4 is
contractually required to have E4 as a subscription channel on Sky for the
next few years.

Hence the creation of More4 launching next month, perhaps?

No, More4 is *very* different to E4. The exact opposite in fact.

I'll believe it when I see it: a "digital" TV channel that does not insult
one's intelligence.

Hopefully it'll turn out to be what C4 was like about 20 years ago, just as BBC
4 is rather like BBC 2 from 30 years ago

So different that they're showing West Wing, for example, which used
to be shown on E4?

A programme in common doesn't make two channels similar. (By that argument
Five and Living are the same channel because they both show CSI).

If you look at More4's schedule as a whole, you'll see that it's very
different to the current E4 proposition.
