Where does the signal for the auto clock set feature come
from? From the cable source? Broadcast? What would block it? Any kind of rectifier or splitter? How about having the VCR only getting a signal from, say, an HD box via RGB and without composite video or SVHS or RF connections? Mark |

You need to pick it up from the raw cable feed or via an OTA antenna. What would block it? Any kind of rectifier or splitter? An A/V out from a cable box wouldn't carry the signal. You need to connect as I described above to the antenna in on the VCR. Here's one page that describes it: http://www.whyy.org/tv12/faq.html#time1 Gary E -- |Gary A. I don't think he wants to block it - his isn't working and he want to know
what might be happening to prevent it from working. I think this is correct. I think it comes for the public broadcasting station or some such through your cable system or whatever. Dont know what might be causing the op's not to work. Jim wrote in message oups.com... wrote: Where does the signal for the auto clock set feature come from? From the cable source? Broadcast? What would block it? Just curious: Why would you want to block the time signal? I think it's very handy. At least where I live, that signal automatically adjusts the clock on my VCR when my region shifts back and forth from daylight savings time. I use that to correct other clocks at home. Where does the signal for the auto clock set feature come
from? From the cable source? Broadcast? Usually along with a local PBS on-air station. What would block it? Any kind of rectifier or splitter? How about having the VCR only getting a signal from, say, an HD box via RGB and without composite video or SVHS or RF connections? Put an on-air antenna on the unit, even if you're not bothering to watch on-air channels. |
