Sell it on ebay for over £200, and buy a DVR.
"Steve Johnsenson" wrote in message oups.com... A friend of mine recently got a new tivo box, she upgraded to a new system and her old, functional, Tivo system is still sitting in her garage. I'm wondering if there is some way I can make use of that box somehow. What I would really like to do is figure out a way to set it up a manual recording device. Something with VCR level functionality. I don't need to have a menu of scheduled TV programming. There are only a couple of TV shows that I watch with any regularity. I'd love to rig this thing up so that it records 1 or 2 specific shows on a regular basis, also, if I could get the "pause" functionity of a DVR to work that would be cool. Any idea how feasible this might be? I don't need a TIVO subscrip, I wouldn't use anywhere near the standard features of a TIVO service. I'd hate to have to pay for some service I wouldn't really use, or need. |
