Default HD on way out?

Today my wife said the sky+ picture was going funny and it then switch
itself off.
It is working fine now apart from all the recordings are gone , and I
couldn't record anything, came up there is a fault phone blah blah blah.
Eventually did a full reset and all seems fine now, however my question is,
do you think that my hard drive is on its way out (box is only 18months old)
or is it just one of those annoying glitches some people seem to get?

TIA

Mostly likely a glitch, has happened to me before and box seems fine now
(why do I know I am going to regret saying that?).

We have had three boxes in 18 months, and when we lose recorded
programmes my wife blames me, even if I haven't touched anything. So
you don't appear to be doing too badly.

Jeffrey Smith.
