A lot of recent recordings on my SKY+ box are suffering from picture
skips and sound dropouts. The video skips forward a couple of seconds in playback, causing it to be sout of synch with the sound, then the sound disappears for a few seconds before returning back in synch again. My best guess is there's a dodgy area on the hard drive (doesn't happen with every recording, but it does seem to spam a couple of hours worth of disk space). Any recommendations from the gurus out there other than a reformat? |

This has just started with me as well.
I just put i a new 250gb maxtor drive and although it works perfectly well I was worrying that the new drive might be the cause. "ƧØÞ" wrote in message ... I was watching Kill Bill recently (live) and the sound was dropping every
5/10mins so it might not be your recording. -- RobertJM "ƧØÞ" wrote in message ... A lot of recent recordings on my SKY+ box are suffering from picture skips and sound dropouts. Any recommendations from the gurus out there other than a reformat? First try swapping the two LNB feeds on the back of the digibox. If that doesn't help then try a planner rebuild. Then try a full reset. If none work then the drive is probably dying. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these.
