Default Lost recordings

When I have partly watched a recorded program on Sky+ & then stop it for
a while, it has vanshed from my personal planner when I tried to finish
watching. Also I marked Holby City as a series however once I have
watched an installment it too no longer appears on my personal planner.

Any ideas please?

The Sky+ software is buggy. You could try a planner rebuild, a
software reload and a full reset (this last will erase all your
recordings) though none are guaranteed to work.

For a service that costs £10 per month this is very poor.

Thank you. I'll see how it goes over the next couple of weeks. What
I'm doing pro tem is to mark every recorded program for Keeping. If the
problem persists then I'll carry out the procedures you mention.

I've only had Sky+ for 3 weeks & this is my second box so I'm none too
impressed.

Further to my previous reply. I've looked at the FAQ's & this deals with
software downloads; it also refers to a reset however is this the same
as a full reset? I remember your referring in a reply to another post
to the installer's menu; is this where I'd find a planner rebuild,
please? Also other replies have referred to a power cycle but I don't
know what that is.

I'm very new to SKy & so don't know my way around but am quite good at
following instructions so please bear with me if I'm asking rather basis
questions.

Regards

Power cycle = reboot = unplug at mains, wait 5 seconds, plug back in,
wait 1 minute, push "Sky".

Reload software described in the FAQ.

Planner rebuild and full reset are to be found in the hidden system
menu, accessed as described in the FAQ.

Thanks for that; I've made a note, which hopefully I can remember where
I've saved it when next I need it.

I forgot. Do I try a reboot first, then if necessary a software reload
& only if they fail should I resort to the hidden system menu?

Hopefully as my box is new I'won't need to resort to the hidden system
menu, however if, in the future I need to, is there a preferred order
for planner rebuild & full rest, please?

That's what I would do.
