Default channel 5 gone missing

Hi All
Last week I noticed that channel 5 was getting crappy so thought I would
retune the channels in.
Perfect retune except channel 5 is missing. Okay try again, same thing
happened. And again, same affect no CH5
I am using freeview through our integrated Sony Widescreen TV and a wide
band aerial pointing at Waltham near Melton.
We have had occasional loss of signal before but not a total loss like this.
Any suggestions most welcome.
Pete

it probably means ch 5 is "just marginal", on your aerial, and will
come/go with slightly changing transmission conditions.

Confirm this by checking Ch 5 "signal quality" on receiver, during
reception and non reception.

Aerial upgrade might be needed.

Have you lost the other Mux A channels too, (QVC, BBC Radios 1 to 4) that will
narrow down whether you have a reception problem with Mux A, or something odd
just affecting Ch 5, if the latter most likely a problem with PIDs etc.
