Are there any box's out there that let you change the channel numbers in to
some sort of sensible order ?

Netgem I-player allows you to do this, there will be others. A lot of
(most/all?) boxes allow you to set a favourites list which means you can
select from a subset of channels.

Why do people think that plurals must have an associated apostrophe? I
might not be so bad, but then many will not use an apostrophe when
necessary!

Surely if we are referring to the apostophe in box's it is technically
correct as it indicates the missing e as it should be boxes. Though why use
an apostrophe instead of e seems a little odd.
