Default stuttering picture

I have recently had problems with picture quality through my sky+ box. I
sometimes get a slight freeze and jerky picture that goes out of synch with
the sound. Any idea what causes this. Is it the signal or the box itself?

many thanks

Is this on recordings?

Then suspect the drive.

Try a planner rebuild, then a software reload and then a full system
reset (the last will erase your recordings).

Not always, no. I lost recordings when doing a planner rebuild. It's safest
to watch everything first - or, of course, take a chance with those that
you're not that bothered about.

The only recordings you may lose when doing this are those that
probably aren't valid anyway.
