Default BBC4 channel missing

I had all BBC channels until recently but now BBC4 has become very poor.
After re-installation of all the channels
it is no longer there at all - no signal! All other channels including other
BBC
channels seems to be OK as before. I am in
Histon, north of Cambridge and still have an original aerial, but this
change seems to be affecting only
BBC4, no other station. Any ideas?

Yes, you are right, I did not notice those missing
I went through re-install again, they
all appeared but at almost non-existent level.
So what does that mean?

You're missing a whole mux, not just a channel.
Usually means that mux is not strong enough for your box to pick it up, but
could be anything from a simple aerial reposition to a new grouped aerial.
Which transmitter are you on?

I bet he's missing the sandy channel 67 MUX B the one right at the top
of the group A aerials around here?......

Yep. He's probably got a group A aerial, and needs a wideband aerial.

You are right that it is Sandy Heath transmitter and what I have is the old
"analog"
TV aerial. However, the signal strength meter on the Goodmans box
previously consistently showed about 50% of the scale on BBC4
which was not much less than any other channels, if at all. Now it dropped
almost to nothing. Surely it could be just change in weather that would
affect
so badly this, admittedly, marginal group, or could it?

Might be tree growth perhaps, might even be some water from the time it
rained last, could be a combination. Get the right aerial system you
need then you have signal in hand rather then relying on just enough
