Default sky+ and exsisting customer

i'm a current sky subscriber and i'm tempted to go sky plus. if i do and go
through sky will i have to keep the crap plugged into the phone line? or is
that just for new customers?
my telephone socket is in another room and would need one hell of an
extension to reach which is why i sourced a box and got a private installer,
will i have to go that route for sky+ you think?

cheers for any help

So long as you don't have "Multiroom" you don't need to keep Sky+ connected
to the phone line

No you won't have to keep it connected.

But..... There are cheap devices that allows wireless pstn via an adaptor
and receiver between rooms. I'll be buggered if I can find a link though.

Not exactly cheap, though.
