The BBC would do well because up to now I've seen on EVERY single channel
that advertises.

Good old BBC..Worth the license fee alone if only to skip the advertising
crap like this :-)

I would agree with you except Kerplunsky and co were discussing the crazy
frog on BBC breakfast this morning which meant they HAD to show a clip of
it! No channel is safe. Chav culture lives! What's the bet in the next
incantation of the frog he will have a Burberry helmet.

Please educate me -- is this ringtone derived from a kid's comic, a TV

Incidentally, it's possible to do airtime deals with some TV channels
whereby the advertiser pays nothing up front but hands over instead a
percentage of the direct sales revenue. I wonder if that's how this
thing began.

A good reason to get Sky+ and record it that way...Having never watched it
live as it conflicts with other programmes, I did'nt even know it had a red
dot.
What's the actual dot for anyway? Info on the series or something.

That said,The DVD Recordings still f*cked up with the voice over over the
end credits, I wish DVD Recorders had the audio dub like my VCR has, I could
re-record the soundtrack OVER the voice-over twerp as I used to do when Sky
Movies kept talking all over the credits!

I could of course record to VCR,Do the audio-dubbing and then copy to DVD
but lose quite a lot of quality :-(

Since the most recent software update you can now set this to turn off
(after 30 seconds).

I also have Sky +, but seemed pointless in recording onto the Sky+ box
then onto my dvd HDD/Recorder, The VOP (Voice-Over Prick) I can live
with as its always been the norm, heck the BBC have been doing it for
donkeys years....
