Default Best digtal TV tuner/PVR for PC for small budget + small aerials?

I've currently got an old Hauppauge WinTV/PCI TV card. Pleased with it -
but I'm thinking about going digital. From what I can see, the Nebula
DigiTV is excellent - however its a bit pricey for me at the moment and I
wondered whether there were any others out there which would be cheaper, but
still do a good job?

An additional thing, is how well do these cards work with internal TV
aerials? I currently have NTL broadband (no TV service) but make use of the
fact they put the basic 5 channels on analogue down the cable too, so I can
get TV where the PC without an aerial. Our aerial cable comes down the
front of the house and the computer is at the back - so not an easy task to
get a good aerial lead to the PC. We are close to the transmitter (couple
of miles away, on a hill, visible depending on where in Guildford you
stand - but to the front of the house (so no clear, unobstructed line of
sight from PC room). I know Nebula don't recommend it - but reception here
is pretty good (except Five) so wondered if we might be an exception (I can
hope!!)

Thanks

David

Twinham VisionPlus DTV is good value but most devices will struggle w/o a
proper aerial.

It works, but, as you can read in other threads, its software is a
little flaky (but not necessarily any worse than that of any other DTT
card).

But beware of one aspect of the spec in that link: "Stereo FM radio
and Digital Radio" ain't true - it's 'Freeview' radio only (which is
fine by me).

I use a Hauppauge WinTV Nova-t pci model 909 (the updated 9002 version with
remote control and RF out) on an indoor aerial, with a 'one set' cheap
signal booster - and I get crystal clear...100% reception on all channels.
I've read a lot of bull**** about not using a booster because they "boost
the noise too", but I can't even get half the channels without one. With
one, it's perfect in no less a way that an outdoor, specialist aerial.

I don't know if I'm just lucky, or what, but it works for me.

Regards.
