Default Impressions of HDTV.

Saw a demo in Comet yesterday. It was filmed material on a 50" DLP rearpro set
(Panasonic I think).

I was somewhat underwhelmed - it had a grainy appearance and a poor off-centre
response due to the rearpro screen and looked no better than the
projector/screen system we have at work in the conference room. Surely a better
demo would be straight HD video on a good quality HD Plasma or LCD?

Would not trust Comet, Currys, Dixons or the like for a demo.

Since 99% of the people will buy their systems from these shops, it do
not look good for HDTV then.

Why are you incapable of writing the word 'does'? You ALWAYS write 'do'
when you should write 'does':

"That do not make sense, surley it do not cost any more to increase the
bit rate"

"Do anyone know what Mustek have to do with Goodmans?"

"3G do not offer anything that I do not do already, that is make and
receive calls."

Who are you, Vicky Pollard's brother or sumfink?

Why are you incapable of writing the word 'does'? You ALWAYS write 'do'
when you should write 'does':

I find it more annoying that he ALWAYS writes 'got' instead of 'have'
or 'has':

"I am not a fan of ABC1, but it got to be better than another ITV
channel"

"after all, if we got to fork out for a digital box, we should get
something for our money."

"Anyway, unless you got a huge room, you may as well stay with a
normal CRT set"

"I expect you got bad analogue then, those of us with very good
analogue can tell the difference and digital is very poor."

"As I said, people in this country got no guts"

Very annoying.

Charlie

I've got a nice little demo you can have a look at, if you're anywhere near
Bradford.....
