Default Sky+ remote eye in Aus.

G'day all.
Recently the Sky+ service (in the guise of Foxtel IQ, see
www.foxteliq.com.au ) was launched in Australia. My brother being a
Foxtel installer (and me helping out often), noticed in the Foxtel
Installer manual information on the remote-eye prior to its launch. It
mentioned how to install it and I thought that it was quite a nice
feature.

However, come launch time there was no mention of remote-eye or
'multi-room' which is what I think its called on the Sky+ site. Seems
that Foxtel decided to not let Australians make use of this feature
and the remote-eye equipment is not available from them.

Now on eBay here http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....sPageName=WD2V
, they sell the remote-eye on its own (I've got plenty of spare Fox
remotes). I was wanting to give it a try on our own FoxIQ box (getting
ours next week) and wanting to know if any of you guys have heard of
this working before? I know you have to turn on the power supply on
the 2nd RF output which is hopefully available from the service menu.
Any opinions/thoughts on why it might or might not work here?

Thanks guys.

If you have the RF2 power on/off option in your service menu then it
has a good chance of working. It will only cost you a fiver to test
it.

Yeah you're right, it probably is worth the gamble. Once I get my box
I'll check the Service menu and then go from there. Thanks.
