JVC DRM30 DVD Recorder with 160Gb Hard Drive,

Any good at £441.72p or easypay x 2 £220.86p? (Certainly makes look Sky+
decidely tiny)

Nice editting function to remove commercial breaks on the hard drive
before copying to DVD-R/RW or RAM
Sadly,They did'nt cover properly whether it copies from HD at normal speed
or the faster speeds.

Just looking at a close-up after rewinding Sky+ and it says Dolby digital
on the front panal,(Could be actual DVD movie output though?)

Just done a quick search on the net but can't even find it on the internet
anywhere.

Is this the same?
http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/sound-a.../200543/prices

Unsurprisingly selling for nearly 100 pounds less than QVC.

I was impressed by the front firewire connection.

Wish I`d saved the page now....

Bye for now.

Clive.

My eye.

Almost any and all European equipment I've ever encountered that has
S-Video also has RGB.

Including those camcorders you mentioned?

S-Video is out-dated US rubbish.

Not sure what your point is here.
If you were defending RGB over s-video then camcorders only have s-video

S-Video is out-dated US rubbish.

Actually I guess it is Japanese rubbish, as they are responsible for it.

And still fitted as standard on every domestic camcorder world wide

Yeah, you're right, it's stored in YUV, not Y/C (S-Vid), my brain fart,
sorry. Still doesn't change the fact that S-Video in not a 'poor' form
of connection.

I don't disagree - by separating chroma and luminance signals you don't get
the horrible interference you get on a composite feed, it's just RGB is
technically better

No it's not, I have a Panasonic VHS-C which only has composite output.

Of course it is. It's just that S-Vid is not 'poor', as a certain other
person keeps spouting. The gap between it and RGB is much, much smaller
than the gap between it and composite, so it's very much leaning to the
good to excellent side.

Oh Sorry Clive, www.qvcuk.com and it will be no doubt under the electrical
section now rather than the front page as it was when it were the TSV that
day.
