Dear Newsgroup,
Please can you help me find out if this portable DVD player with built-in Freeview can be used without having to plug in an aerial? Does it have a built in antenna? Mustek DTV-408 - 8.4 inch portable tv/dvd player with built in Freeview. Product info site: http://www.mustek.de/eng_/html/produkte/dtv408pro.htm - Some technical info on this page but the PDF file has more. http://www.mustek.de/eng_/pdf/dtv408pro.pdf - PDF file - has lots of technical stuff which I don't understand, that might give a clue as to whether it can work without an external aerial. Perhaps one of you might be able to tell me this? Thanks for any help you can give me with this. Regards. Robert. |

Pretty good and comes with a small "omnidirectional" aerial. The thing is, whilst it does its job, it does'nt pull in a strong enough signal. Its a great unit but needs an adapter to convert the incredibly small plug the aerial uses to a normal coax one. Damian |

Damian Thanks for the reply and the useful info. Can u watch the main channels such as BBC, ITV etc? I got Freeview on my home telly and the signal strength is about 80%, do u think it would probably work okay for me? I know u can't give me a guarentee, but a guesstimate would be great. Thanks. |
