Default TV picture problem, or normal?

I've recently got a 32" JVC 100Hz CRT. I know that 100Hz can have more
problems than 50Hz with certain fast moving pictures.

Whilst this TV shows many fast moving items very well., there are a couple
of things it really struggles with, and despite fiddling with the picture
settings I can't seem to improve it.

One is when the credits of a programme are moving quickly from left to
right, or right to left, they are very blurred, to the point of being almost
unreadable (it's like there is a shadow of the original text following it,
making it difficult to read).

The second, similar problem I noticed for the first time last week when
snooker was on the TV, when the white ball was struck quickly, again there
was like a second white ball "shadow" just behind it, making it look blurred
on the screen.

Its the same through the arial as it is watching digital (cable).

Is this something I'm just going to have to live with, or is there something
particular I could do to get rid of the problem?

Thanks for any advice

Andrew

I have a Philips which often used to exhibit the same type of blurring.
I turned the contrast down slightly and it's all but gone away. Check
to see if there are any other settings beside the 100Hz. My philips has
a 'natural motion' setting which tones it down a tad too.
The odd occasion when it does happen, is more than made up for by the
fantastic picture I get the rest of the time.

Is it an american show? Sometimes their credits are unreadable due to
the speed, as well as the poor quality of NTSC original

There's nothing wrong with the NTSC original. Any problems are due to sloppy
conversion to PAL format.
