Conversion from Freeview to Skysat

Does anyone know if & when Sky will be placing Skysports News on the
Skysat system?

Having recently transferred over from Freeview to Skysat due to poor
reception, I was hoping to continue watching Skysports News, but it is
not listed!

If anyone can reduce my annoyance by giving me any news I would be
very appreciative!

I doubt Sky will make Sky Sports News (or Sky Travel) non subscription
channels, they don't want people to cancel their subscriptons on
Satellite, if anything they want "Skysat/FreeSat/FTV" viewers to
upgrade to a subscription package, it is anoying but the reason Sky
have a presence on Freeview is to advertise the Sky platform to
Freeview viewers.

You do of course get several channels on the Sky platform that you do
not get on freeview so for the most free channels people have to have
both platforms,

Was the reception of Sky Sports News on freeview unwatchable, mux C is
often better than Mux 2 and Mux A in marginal areas because of the use
of 16QAM instead of 64QAM

I got caught out by that too...

It's the only one that's unreceivable at my place although I think
that's down to a communal aerial....

Have you tried an indoor aerial and booster, if you are in a strong
signal strength area it could work, it does for others I know

Skysports news is pretty much always perfect reception! I am always
let down by ITV, Channel 4&5 etc. so I might well keep the freeview
box in another room for one channel!!!
