DTVRecord v1.30 Released (Hauppauge/Nebula DTV PVR App)

A new version of DTVRecord has been released. DTVRecord is a PVR for
Hauppauge and Nebula Digital TV cards that also features automatic
Divx / XVid compression for TV and mp3/ogg compression for radio. It
can be programmed using the advanced in built timer or by using
digiguide. All setup including DTV card and digiguide integration
occurs automatically upon install.

Recent features include sleep / reawaken PC between recordings;
embedding of digiguide program info within the tags of recordings or
compressed recordings; error monitoring that will reboot the DTV
hardware and restart recording if it detects failure; playing of
currently recording programs (with zoomplayer or mplayer); as well as
many other features (changes since last release detailed below).

FEATU SPACES IGNORED IN TV CHANNEL NAMES
You could already use the channelmap.txt file to map channel names
different in digiguide to those on your DTV card.As spaces are now
ignored when matching up names, this lessens the need to do this. The
Channelmap.txt file may still be required when channel names vary
dramatically in different regions between those used in digiguide and
those used by the DTV broadcasters.

FEATU DISABLE A / V NOW WORKS WITH 2.80 OF HAUPPAUGE SOFTWARE
V2.80 or later versions of the Hauppauge software caused the feature
to permanently disable Audio/Video to fail. This is now reinstated.

FEATU TIME_TEST_NORECORD Registry key added
This key is used to set the time after a recording begins that
DTVRecord tests to see if it is blank, prior to engaging the 'retry on
fail' mechanism that attempts to fix blank recordings. It was upgraded
from 5 to 10 seconds (10,000ms) in this version to avoid spurious
blank detections, you may alter further if you so wish.

FEATU AUTOSHUTDOWN
This option will cause the shutdown button to be operated whenever a
recording begins. At the end of recording (assuming another recording
is not due within the next 10 minutes) the shutdown dialog will pop up
allowing you to sleep/shutdown. You may cancel it by pressing the
shutdown button at any point during the recording. It uses the
previous settings of the shutdown dialog. If you wish to change the
settings just press the shutdown button once or twice to pop up the
dialog, change any settings and press either 'Cancel' or 'Do it Now',
(both remember the settings). If 'Do it Now' is used during recording
the button will be set green to indicate the shutdown will instead be
attempted after the recording finishes.

FEATU DIGIGUIDE DETECTION ALTERED
DTVRecord used to detect a digiguide installation, this is no longer
required. The DTVRecord-Digiguide link is launched and will be picked
up on a correct digiguide installation. On installing a new version
digiguide should pop up or run if it was not already running, if this
does not occur, you should reinstall digiguide or ensure the .dgmarker
file extension is associated properly with digiguide ( in folder
options|file types)

FEATU OLD STYLE DIGIGUIDE MARKER SUPPORT REMOVED
The format of the DTVRecord digiguide marker was altered 7 months ago
to increase flexibility. Code was in place to support the old marker
as well as the new to give users time to upgrade. This support is now
removed and all users should ensure they use the newer format (starts
with $type1).

FEATU NEW CONVERSION OVERRIDE WIDTHS
You may now select original to maintain the original width as well as
select HDTV widths up to 1920.

FEATU NEW ADD-ON PACK
New versions of VDub, PVA etc. added (New ProjectX has bug affecting
use of .ini file so wasn't included)

FEATU SHUTDOWN BUTTON
DTVRecord now features a shutdown button next to the exit. Pressing
this will bring up the shutdown dialog. You may change any of the
options then abort the shutdown to change the default options used in
any successive shutdowns. If a shutdown is requested while currently
recording, or the next recording is due within 10 minutes, the
shutdown button will change colour to green. This indicates shutdown
is postponed until there are no imminent recordings. If the 'Empty
Queue' option is on, shutdown is postponed until there are no more
recordings queued up. You may click the shutdown button when green to
cancel a postponed shutdown. Shutdowns may also be scheduled as an
optional parameter on manually added recordings or via digiguide as
previously.

FEATU STANDBY / RESUME
The shutdown dialog now features standby / resume. If when standby is
entered there is a future recording queued up DTVRecord will set the
PC to awaken 3 minutes (+ offset) prior to the start of this
recording. If using digiguide you will need to transfer future
recordings to DTVRecord earlier than the usual 5 minutes before start
to benefit from the resume feature. See the help file for further info
on doing this.

BUG: EDITING NON RECORDING ENTRY CHANGES RECORDING ENTRY
An issue was discovered whereby the current recording programs
settings would be affected if a different program was edited. This
only occurred under certain other conditions when editing while
recording. Now Fixed.

FEATU DIVX 5.2 + DIVX5.1
Previous beta supported divx5.2. This version of Divx however appears
to be buggy, consequently DTVRecord now supports both Divx 5.2 and
divx5.1. Please select the appropriate option on the compression
options tab.

FEATU VDUB LOADS DTVRECORD SETTINGS
Pressing the vdub button on the play tab will now open a file into
virtualdub, with any selected compression options set up. You may now
edit out any ads or change any settings and simply hit save, or add to
the virtualdub job list. It is recommended to run files through PVA
initially by using the copy command with pva option set. You may
alternatively allow DTVRecord to auto compress the file and edit ads
out afterwards.

FEATU DIVX 5.2
DTVRecord now supports Divx 5.2. The pro and standard options still
both exist but the pro options appears to work correctly for both so
is now the default selection.

FEATU AUTO PLAY
This option will automatically play a file once it is recorded and
added to the playlist. Some players can be set to enqueue recordings,
hence building up a playlist ready for when you wish to view. E.G in
Zoomplayer | Settings | PlayBack | Opening file externally clears
playlist = off will append file. Other players may have similar
options.

FEATU PLAY MULTIPLE ITEMS

You may now select multiple items on the play tab and they will be
sent at 5 second intervals to the default player. Setting the same
zoomplayer option as above will cause new files to be enqueued rather
than played, hence creating a playlist. Other players may have similar
options.


FEATU CONVERTED FILES SHOW SAME DATE AS ORIGINAL
Converted files now inherit the datestamp from the original source
file. This is more useful than showing the time of the conversion.

FEATU SPLIT FILES IN PROPER ORDER
The naming convention for large files that split into bits has been
changed so the first chunk will be listed before the others NOT at the
end as happened previously.
E.G: File.02.mpg will now be named as File_02.mpg placing it after
File.mpg.

FEATURE MARKER NOW ALLOWS REPEATS TO BE ONE OFF CANCELLED
Courtesy of Clive Flower the marker has been updated to allow you to
cancel/reinstate just one recording of a repeating marker. Repeat has
been moved and options to allow (default) compression added.

BUG: SPLITSTRING ERROR MESSAGE
AN error message was being triggered after conversion of a file with
an empty Description field. It has zero effect on anything, it is
merely misreporting a problem when there is none. Now fixed.
