I thought the Sky+ box was a combined receiver / recorder - have I
misunderstood or are they just talking bull ?

The Sky+ box requires two feeds from different LNBs on the same dish -
so that you can watch one Sky channel while recording another, or
record two channels at once.

Multiroom gives you a completely independent single-channel system in
another part of the house, with its own 1-channel digibox and remote
control. It uses a third LNB on your dish.

There is room for a fourth LNB on the dish should you want a third
system somewhere else in the house or to convert the single channel
system to a second Sky+ system.

Yes. The Sky+ is one box and the second box for multiroom is another
box. That makes two boxes, one in each room.

Thanks guys - mystery solved.
I didn't misunderstand, I was told I would get 3 boxes .. an ordinary box in
each room and a separate Sky+ box.

Are you sure that you haven't ordered two new boxes to have Sky in
three rooms?
