Default BBC local radio on satellite?

It would be nice if the 40 or so BBC local radio ststions were
available from 28E.

You've obviously never heard mine, or else you'd have said 39 or so.

But seriously, the main technical obstacle is probably setting up
permanent links from each station, back to London for up-link ?


Waste of good spectrum for radio Cambs. Anyway most of their listeners
are still on the medium wave!......

They are not even on Freeview, that would be a good idea and would mean only
a few from each area.

They are not even on Freeview,


If you count BBC R Wales, Scotland, Ulster, Foyle, nan Gaidheal, and
Cymru as local, then they are on Freeview in their respective areas

Think they are the national station for Wales, N.Ireland and Scotland for
the first 3 you mention.
There is no Radio England unless Radio 4 isn't broadcast outside of England.

I think they extended the transmitters outside of the home counties some time
ago... not sure of its success
