Default Sky remote control problem

Hi
I have programme my Sky remote using the codes to control the TV's
volume etc. but when I press the TV guide or services buttons at the top
of the remote the TV channel changes to 6. Anyone know why this is and
how I can prevent it?
Many thanks.

You've got a macro programmed in there and it needs to be deleted.

To delete the macro press tv and then hold select and green together for
around two seconds (until the red light blinks twice). Then press select
again (red light blinks twice).

Don't use the expensive 0844, 0845, 0870 or 0871 numbers companies and
government departments/agencies publish - fight back! Find an 'ordinary'
telephone number to call instead - http://www.saynoto0870.com

How do you program macros into the Sky remote, I can't find any info in
the FAQ?
Regards Mike.

For ‘macro’ read ‘sequence of up to 3 keypresses’

The procedure is implicit in GOM’s post.
Just put the digits you want between the green+select and select.

The ‘help’ key can sometimes be useful to automatically put the TV into AV
mode, but often it sequences to AV2 AV3 with subsequent presses of the SKY
button and doesn’t do exactly what you intend. In any case the auto SCART
switching usually makes it unnecessary.

I think it’s all in the FAQ’s

Graham.

The 'macro' is just an extended command. It isn't mentioned in the FAQ
but it is in the digibox manual.
