Default Hauppage Nova T PCI digital freeview card - use in europe

Hi Folks

I am about to buy a new PC and want to get a decent TV card so i can
get freeview through MS media center. I have been recommended the
hauppage nova T PCI TV card in a shuttle XPC system. Does anybody
know if this card will pick up either local TV or UK TV in europe,
particularly spain, as i am moving there in the summer.

Can anyone recommend other TV cards which will give me TV in Spain as
well as UK?

Thanks

Mike, London

Searching the DTG news archives
www.dtg.org.uk shows that in May there
was 80% DTT coverage in Spain and they are working to achieve 100% in
the next few years. DTT is digital terrestial so it is likely to be
all in Spanish. Also I believe the nova-t can only do FTA and if
there was any English programming it is may be encrypted. If you want
to know for definite if it would work in Spain you could try emailing
Hauppauge ???)

If you want any UK television in Spain then the route to go would be
satellite (and a big dish), in that case I would recommendr a DEC
3000, which you can use as a standalone satellite receiver and plug
into the USB port of your computer. Though if you want digital text
and interactive satellite features you would have to go for a Sky box.
