Over Christmas I am planning on adding three aerial points to the
upstairs bedrooms. I currently only have an aerial point in the living room. For now I am not worrying about how to connect this all up, just going to run some coax from each bedroom to the loft. Heard CT100 mentioned a few times on this newsgroup but cannot find it at tlc-direct.co.uk. They have this however: http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CAPF100B.html Is this the same thing? Also how much do I have to worry about running it alongside power cables? Thanks, Steve |

CT100 is one particular makers number. .....Approved to BS EN 50117 - the standard recommended fot he domestic installation of satellite equipment by the UK's leading provider of digital satellite services ... I guess this could be Sky, so is Ok for use. The roll of cable I use says approved by Sky on a sticker. -- Regards, David Please reply to News Group. |

I bought a drum of cable from aplin's for some lengthy extension runs for DTT - seems fine - double-shielded, etc. Avoid running aerial cables in parallel to mains cables - you could well get interference. Also how much do I have to worry about running it alongside power cables? The PF100 is intended for outside use. See http://www.satcure.co.uk/ There is a review of cable types which you can link to, also they sell it. Best price I have so far seen for the PF100, which is handy as I may be getting some. -- Michael Chare |
