Default Cheapo TV's: deep thoughts

First of all, to everyone who provided constructive comments about buying
from big-box, mass market, and/or small independent retailers: thank you.
Your advice is well-reasoned and very welcome.

Secondly, you guys need to dial it back! You sound like a bunch of
testosterone-poisoned grunts instead of tech-heads. I am looking for
legitimate comments on brands, repairs, and overall opinions. I can and have
read loads of reviews on- and off-line. I want some practical advice, not a
flame war.

Of course the individual makes his own decision from whom to purchase. Price
and service are primary factors in such decision-making. But, it is not up
to any one of you to judge what is best for those either seeking or offering
advice.

Calm down! and thanks,

Linda
