Default Software upgrade for Nokia 221T

Whenever I get the box to check for an update it always tells me there is
none available. I have been able to download an update to my PC and I could
connect to the box and upgrade that way. Assuming the upgrade goes to plan
will I see any spectacular changes? Don't want to risk messing up a
perfectly good version of software if it goes wrong, for minimal gain.

There hasn't been a over-air retransmission of 1.5 (latest version) at all,
to my knowledge, since it was released months ago...
The update reduces lockups and the response is generally better (I'm on a
set-top aerial, so if you have a top quality aerial this may not be
applicable) - it ain't perfect though, not by a long shot.
I recently spoke to the Nokia helpline (01480 410679; vastly improved I must
say - the first call I made, on the old number, was a complete waste of
effort) and an update to include full 7-day EPG is "still being tested" but
is on it's way!! If you aren't having problems and aren't confident about
the PC update then I'd say wait, otherwise go for it!

Hope that helps

Ian

I also contacted Nokia a few weeks ago and was told that there was an
update in preparation but that it would not, at this stage, include the
EPG.

Thanks Ian. I am happy and confident to do it - just wanted to confirm the
benefits.
