Is there some way of doing this or am I having a larf?

Anything is possible ... given sufficient effort and money ..


I think SKY do a multiroom thing ... would that be suitable?

What sort of communal system do you have ? And how much of sky so you want
...

If the communal system is an analogue UHF based system ... perhaps a number
of SKY boxes ... each tuned to it's own broadcast channel. and each
outputting a UHF signal on a different UHF frequency ...

You might even get away with just 2 dishes ... one set to Horizontal
polarity, the other set to Vertical...

Snag would be that each would need a SKY subscription for the broadcast
channel it was set to pick up.


I wonder how hotels do this?

Sky offer a service to wire up apartment blocks. God knows what it costs
but it might be what you're looking for.

Quite correct .. although it would need a dual LNB to cover Vertical and
Horzintal polarised signals ...
