As it is not showing "Please insert card" looks like it will be free.

Nothing to do with tutv, I think they want people to watch it, it is
FTA on Freeview initially daytime only. I am hoping that TUTV will
quickly go bankrupt and allow space for more FTA.

If you subscribe to TUTV please stop.

Not sure I wish them to go under. More free TV just means more stations
repeating the same old programmes again.

TopUp is probably going to fail due to shops not selling boxes for them.
Shops only interested in selling Sky and Freeview digiboxes. As ONdigi
boxes fail they will have less and less subscribers.

Rumour has it that they have very few subscribers anyway, and nowhere near
enough to reach their break even figures. A good number of those that
originally signed up have already cancelled, and there have been other
cock-ups with the handling of subscriptions.

True that Thomson have finally released their TUTV compatible box, but
finding somewhere that actually has one in stock is another matter.

Channel 15 ( ABC1 ) is a free channel made by Disney, I believe it will be a
part time channel at 1st.
This is not a TUTV channel.
The idea that if TUTV fails it would be a good thing is just a no brains
idea.
The 10 channels ( part time ) used, would only give you four full time
channels and there are no TV company's that
have given any reason or idea that there would what to put a free channel up
there over the years.
In many areas in the UK there are black spots were channels are at a very
low power and company's like
TUTV, SDN & ITV will make the owners of Freeview to make the power right
for all and give a choice of programs and channels to people that cannot pay
B$kyB high prices and long payments, ( that's why B$kyB are going to have a
freesat @ costs of about £150 u get a sat box and about 200 cheap channels
that plug $ky packages every advert break like on $ky news, $ky travel & $ky
$ports news on freeview now ( $ky $ports news also tries to get you to get
$ky $ports 1,2,3, extra))
Digital cable is working hard to give a very low cost Digital TV to many ,
but there do not have the area to cover like DTT has. And there are two main
company's in the cable world.

New channels to come still are ITV3 & More4 ( is from CH4 ) on freeview.

If higher power to transmitters and Higher bitratesare put to freeview it
would give more channels and more people would buy a freeview box and would
then (DTT ) could go fully Digital much quicker then 2012 and give us
100's of more channels and HDTV would be given a channel or two for people
that got HDTV.
And may be DTT would then get a returns path like Digital Cable & $ky with
e-mails and other great text systems.

Good!

Whatever the reason, it's good. Pay-DTT should never have been allowed
in the first place.

No it means free channels repeating the same old programmes again,
rather than having to pay to see the same old programmes repeated
again.

The point is that it does not mean more repeats just the same number
of repeats but FTA rather than pay TV. Indeed it could mean less
channels therefore less repeats, but better quality pictures. If TUTV
was creating brilliant new television for the subscriptions then I
would not have a problem with it, but it is just selling repeats.
