Default Euro 1080

I know it's a long shot, but has anyone got any screen shots in full res
from Euro 1080? I'm just curious as to how it looks.

Thanks,
Pete.

Did have some knocking around. I've also got some MPEG2 streams recorded
"off-air" and they look quite nice replayed on my PC screen.

If I can work out a way of screengrabbing these I'll post one - if I can
work out a place to post them!

If you just want to see what HD looks like there's the WMV9 HD Showcase:

http://tinyurl.com/dn8l

You'll need broadband and a pretty fast CPU and graphics card, but it's
good to see what it's like. BTW, it's worthwhile downloading the 1080
rather than 720.

Some of the best ones a

* Speed
* Amazing Caves
* Coral Reef Adventure

And before anybody has a go at me, I do not want WMV to become a de
facto standard for HD.

Ermm, too late - its already a mandatory component of the HD-DVD spec!

Does your monitor actually go up to a high enough resolution to display
1920*1080 then? Mine does, but the geometry goes all funny, and the
refresh rate is slow enough to give you an epileptic fit!

No.

Same here at max resolution.

The speed on mine isn't that bad really.

At the end of the day it gives you a taster of what it'll be like. At
1600 x whatever it's not far off 1920 x 1080, and you can see the
quality even at the resolution I have my monitor at usually (1152 x 864,
which is still a lot higher than 720 x 576).

At 1152 x 864 it runs at normal speed and the Speed clip is pretty
impressive, especially the roller-coaster.
