Default Text messeges via Sky Digibox question

When you reply to a text messege sent via a Sky Digibox how does the Digibox
owner know that it has been received??

It says at the end of the text that you can reply to it.

Why not reply to it and let us all know what happened! ;-)
However, reading Mike Henry's reply, please make sure that your Message
Alert feature is enabled.

I would still be surprised if it plastered a huge information banner on your
screen during viewing.

If that is the case, does that mean that all our digiboxes have some sort
of "Text" number?

If this is true, then how long will it be before spammers get a hold of
this?

As soon as Sky sell the numbers on to the advertisers as a new source of
revenue.
