Default new pace twin problem???

My twin as started or rather stopped recording programs occasionally.
I noticed i has set it to record a show at 7.30 lasting half an hour, but at
9 the red LED was still lit and the box refused to respond. I had to unplug
it and when i looked in the library to check what had been recording it
showed 0 seconds for the record length. I mentioned it to a friend who said
his did the same. Mine as just done it again while trying to record a radio
show, but recorded the football last night no problem.

And having just checked it looks like the next update is due on the
28th, hopefully it will fix this issue.

There are some indications that this problem only occurs when you leave
Twin in standby mode and then not every time by any means. This was a
problem with an earlier release IIRC but as I usually leave Twins on
with the sound going through my Hi-Fi as a security measure I rarely
came across it.

However this is not good as someone I know must have had their Twins
'failing to record' for several days despite filling up the hard drive
with nothing.

It's always been there ...

Doesn't make it any less infuriating, of course.
