Top up TV has frozen my Pioneers STB!

Pioneer DBR-T210GBS worked fine for years. Wife wants TUTV so card arrives.
STB seems to update OK. Watched TUTV yesterday (including switching off) -
no problems, then went to radio Kiss (Ch 83) - box is now frozen on Kiss!
No selection available either on remote or STB. Have powered box on/off,
even pulled lead out of back. Taken card out/in and still frozen on Kiss.

Even though she wanted it 'cos I did the "update" it's all my fault...

Anybody any clues?

I had a nokia box that was stuck on 1 channel, turned out one of the buttons
on the front of the box was stuck.. Worth a look I suppose...!

Shot in the dark here but try turning it off and leaving it off for a
time - let any stored charge dissipate.

Try taking the aerial lead out the back, then switch off the box at the
mains. Turn the box back on, but leave the aerial out until you have changed
channel.

If it's messed up the box you could try contacting TopUp TV

But, just a thought - could there be a co-incidental problem with your
remote? Dead batteries etc? (Does the remote work to switch the box on and
off or go into the setup menu if you leave the aerial lead out after
powering it on?)

The channel up/down buttons on the front of the box probably won't work once
the Kiss Mheg screen has appeared (Ondigital software bug) so this + a dead
remote might make you think the box is frozen.

Just a thought anyway.

Thanks for your help guys. called TUTV, charming wee scots lassie, hadn't a
clue what to do she suggesting calling Pioneer directly!

Pulled all the leads out for about 4 hours and it reset - result. Now
working fine.
