Default TUTV Card Arrives

The card arrived in this morning's post.

It cannot be used immediately because the software update would appear only
to run at night, so the card must be left in the slot and the box left on
standby.

One mistake that I made...for old Philips box users, the gold part of the
card must point upwards!

Think we should leave the STB ON as opposed to Standby overnight. Little
confusion here!

No confusion at my end. The instructions clearly state "on standby", though
it states that it must be left on one of two channels! Perhaps the card
forces the decoder on, or the update can be done whilst on standby?

Definately should be left ON. Apparently there is an insert in the later
cards they have been sending out with a note stating the mistake.

Hi John,
We must have different instructions!!
The first green inst box (step 8) says," ..... However you must leave your
stb ON overnight on a TopUp channel."
Step 9 says"..... Your stb will automatically switch to Standby." (I am
aware of Step 6 but understand that it has a typo.
Regards
Noel

It make more sense leaving it on.

How did that error creep through?
